How Our Hospice Care Makes A Difference …
In-home hospice care is an option for terminally ill people nearing the end of life. Unlike other medical care, the focus of hospice care isn’t to cure the illness, but to provide compassionate care and to support the highest quality of life for the family. In order to be eligible for hospice care, a doctor must verify a prognosis of six months or less of life. But, hospice care is not limited to six months. Hospice care has been shown to help people with incurable illnesses feel better and live longer. In these cases, hospice care can continue to be provided if your doctor and hospice team certify that your loved one’s condition remains life-limiting.
We have been providing hospice care for over a decade throughout the Bay Area, as well as at both of our of Residential Care Homes in Walnut Creek, CA (www.ParadiseGardensCareHomes.com). Our caregivers and care staff are well trained and experienced with hospice. We are familiar and sensitive to your family’s needs, understand the difficulties and are here to share our experience, support and resources to help your loved one and family through this challenging time.
